Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising   Leave a comment

Before explain about PPC advertising, first, let me explain to you what PPC engines are.  PPC engines are just like search engines, except you pay a certain amount per click for every person who clicks on your ad and goes to your site. Ever notice those rectangle box ads on the right hand side of every search results page on Google.com?  Well, that’s an example of PPC advertising.
By utilizing PPC engines, you can buy your way to the top of the search results, by paying per click to your site and easily craft your ad just the way you want it. This allows you to target your ad just the way you want it to just the right prospect you want to see it.

Of course, just like every form of advertising, there’s a right and wrong way to go about utilizing it.  Allow me to tell you the major pitfall of most people who advertise on PPC engines.  When most people make their attempt at advertising on PPC engines, they try to reach out to the prospect, instead of letting the prospect come to them.  Now believe me when I say that typically in advertising you need to reach out to your prospect or else they will never know about you.  But when it comes to PPC advertising, the most effective way to utilize it is by waiting for your prospect to come to you.

To further clarify this, check out this example:
Which keyword used when advertising on PPC engines do you think will yield the best Return-On-Investment (ROI)?
a)       Network Marketing
b)       NoBSzone

If you answered “A,” you’re wrong!  If you answered “B”, however, then you are absolutely correct!

Why is this?  Some may tend to think it would be the other way around.
Well, the first thing you must understand when going at any form of advertising is that the quality of your prospect is MUCH more important than the quantity. I would much rather get 100 quality, targeted visitors, who are genuinely interested in my product to my site than 10,000 visitors who are not interested one bit in my product and will instantly leave my site once they see what it’s about.

Although, just to clarify that statement, let me just say that every bit of advertising does help and if you can get thousands of visitors to your site absolutely free or low cost and without much time and are seeing decent results from it, then go for it.  Every little bit helps!

But speaking in general, in order to maximize your advertising efforts, remember that quality is better than quantity and targeted better than untargeted.
It is of utmost importance that you carefully consider the frame of mind of your visitor when choosing what kind of traffic to draw to your site.

This then brings us to understanding why a prospect coming to your site after typing in “Network Marketing” will be of less quality than visitors who come to your site by typing in “NoBSzone” on a search engine.

What do you suppose is the frame of mind of a visitor who just came to your site after typing in the keyword “Network Marketing”?
a) Already very seriously considering joining NoBSzone and just looking for a good downline to join in.
b) Not interested at all in a network marketing business.
c)  Interested, but just casually looking around at what’s available out there.
If you answered “C”, then you are correct!

Why is this?  This is true because most people who type in a broad search term will be likely to be just browsing around, not really and truly interested in any certain thing, but just seeing what’s out there.

However, someone who types in a keyword like “NoBSzone” is in a completely different state of mind.  Most of these visitors have already seen and heard of NoBSzone and are now heading to the search engines to find out more about NoBSzone or to find the best downline to join in.

This is why I said earlier that I loved PPC advertising because you can bank off of others advertising.  As others advertise NoBSzone in various ways, online and offline, you can be absolutely certain that a good number of those people will head to the search engines for more information before joining.

The frame of mind of this visitor is much different.  He is interested in NoBSzone, wants to find out more about the company and/or find the best, most active downline to join in.

Due to this, not only will you receive a better Return-On-Investment for the click-thru charges incurred to obtain that visitor, but you will also know how to best target this visitor.  Targeting a visitor based upon what you already know about him is a way to boost your sales dramatically.

So, if you know that your visitor who typed in “NoBSzone” is interested in joining NoBSzone and simply wants more information on the company or information on the best downline to join in, then you know exactly what to give to him.

As a result, you might now decide to offer a free due diligence report on NoBSzone, or evidence of payment you received, or names of authority figures that have joined NoBSzone and endorse it, or whatever you feel that your prospect might need in order to be convinced that NoBSzone is the best opportunity for him.

Or you may offer him enticing “brides” so to speak to join your downline.  Tell him about you and your team, the ways in which you will support him, bonuses he will receive for joining your team and information about how active you and your team are in advertising NoBSzone.  By assuring him your downline is the best, you will make him want to join yours out of all the others.

PPC advertising can be an incredibly lucrative form of advertising, or it can be a complete and utter waste.  The outcome depends on how you go about utilizing this form of advertising.  So take what I’ve said, dwell on it, use it, and creatively think of more of your own ways to enhance the return of your advertising efforts when using PPC engines.
